The Part Where
We Brag a Little.
We've been fixing IT and keeping bad guys out of places they don't belong since 1991. That's before most of our competitors knew what a computer was. Here's who we are, what drives us, and why DBI is genuinely different from every other MSP you've ever dealt with.

The Guy Behind
the shIT Show.
Hi, I'm Steve Littlefield — CEO and CTO of Database Integrations (DBI) and ShieldCampus, Alpharetta dad of three, scuba diver, guitarist, gardener, hiker, and the person who has been keeping other people's technology from falling apart since 1991. That's before the internet was a thing most people used. That's before Wi-Fi existed. That's before your current employees were born, in most cases.
I started DBI in 2006 with a simple mission: be the IT company that actually shows up, actually answers the phone, and actually knows what it's doing. Revolutionary concept, I know. Turns out a lot of businesses were desperate for exactly that.
"I have a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA. I'm an Oracle Certified DBA — though I'll be honest, I use SQL Server and Snowflake way more than Oracle these days. Don't tell Oracle."
The technical foundation comes from years of deep engineering work — databases, infrastructure, networks, software development. The business foundation comes from the MBA and from two decades of working with hundreds of small business owners and understanding what they actually need from a technology partner.
What they need isn't just someone to fix the printer. They need a strategic partner who understands that technology is either working for their business or against it — and who has the expertise to make sure it's always working for it.
These days DBI specializes in two areas that matter more than anything else right now: cybersecurity and AI. The threats are real, the opportunities are real, and most small businesses are completely unprepared for either. That's where we come in.
I'm also the founder of ShieldCampus — a school safety and communications platform built to give schools better tools for emergency response and campus-wide communications. Because protecting people — whether it's protecting a business from hackers or a school from threats — is what drives me.
I'm a follower of Christ, a proud dad, and someone who genuinely believes that how you do business matters as much as what you do. DBI is built on integrity, transparency, and the radical idea that your IT company should actually be on your side. Wild concept. We stand by it.
Two Companies.
One Mission.

Steve Outside
the Server Room.
Because you're hiring a person, not a help desk ticket system. Here's what Steve does when he's not fixing your shIT.
Scuba Diving
Under the water — not out of an airplane. Steve is an avid diver who appreciates the one environment where nothing can ping him on Slack.
Guitar
When he's not debugging networks, Steve is playing guitar. We won't make any claims about how good he is. We'll let him tell you that himself.
Gardening
Steve takes his mulching seriously. Lowes has learned to stock extra when he's coming. 5 for $10 is apparently a big deal in this household.
Hiking
North Georgia has some incredible trails and Steve has done most of them. Good thinking time. No WiFi required. (Though he probably has a hotspot just in case.)
Building AI Solutions
This one blurs the line between hobby and work. Steve genuinely loves building with AI — which is great news for DBI clients who need someone who actually knows what they're doing.
Family Time
At the end of the day, everything Steve does is for his family. Three kids, a faith that grounds him, and a community he loves. That's what it's all about.
Faith First
Steve is a proud follower of Christ — and it shows in how DBI operates. Integrity, honesty, and doing right by people aren't just business values at DBI. They're personal convictions. When Steve says there are no gotcha invoices, no surprise fees, and no misleading promises — he means it. Not because it's good marketing, but because it's the right way to do business. Full stop.

Steve Answers the Phone.
Brandon
Age 21 · Auburn University
Junior at Auburn studying Marketing. War Eagle! (Even though Dad probably has opinions about that 😄). The future of DBI's marketing department whether he knows it or not.
Emma
Age 16 · Kings Ridge Christian
11th grader at Kings Ridge Christian School. Growing up watching Dad build companies and fix problems — which means she's already thinking like an entrepreneur.
Hadley
Age 15 · Kings Ridge Christian
10th grader at Kings Ridge Christian School. The youngest Littlefield — and if the pattern holds, probably the one who'll end up running the whole operation someday.
Now that you know us —
let's get to work.
You're not hiring a faceless IT company. You're hiring Steve and the DBI team — people with 35 years of experience, genuine expertise, and a real commitment to doing right by every client. Let's talk about what that looks like for your business.
